Amid a spike in omicron-variant COVID-19 cases in King County that has left some public health officials again recommending that people stay home for the holiday, a number of Seattle New Year’s Eve parties, concerts, and events have been cancelled to close out 2021.
New Year’s Eve casualties of the pandemic:

Recently relocated and renovated The Crocodile’s “New Year’s Eve Freakout”
WAMU Theatre’s “Abduction” DJ set
The Downtown Showbox’s New Year’s Eve concert
Chong the Nomad at The Tractor Tavern
Viennese New Year at The Seattle Symphony (Performances on Dec. 30 and Jan. 2 will proceed as scheduled.)
